Dear Parents / Carers

British Library Trip

Thank you to all those who volunteered to help for the trip to the British Library on Monday 27th February. Rothko class has enough parent helpers now but Kandinsky still need one more volunteer.

Safer Internet Day

This Tuesday was Safer Internet Day, we were taking the opportunity to continue our work with the children on how they can stay safe on line.  It is essential that all children develop the skills to identify and avoid risk.

In English this week, Year 3 completed their work on The Tin Forest by writing a poem using prepositions. They then had to edit and correct their work, focusing on their spellings and punctuation. They finished the week by writing their own ending to the story using all of the things we have worked on this half term.

In their Maths lessons this week, the children have been exploring how to measure perimeter. As a class, we discussed what the word ‘perimeter’ meant and why it is important. They had to draw shapes to different specifications and measure the perimeter of our own shapes.

Year 3 had a day to finish off their topic on ‘Stone Age to Iron Age’. We made our own outfits and Iron Age helmets.

Have a lovely half term,

Adam and Jack
