Friday 14th October
We have had another great week in Klee Class! The children all enjoyed looking at the book ‘The Gruffalo’ and some children enjoyed using our new story spoons to retell the story. Next week we are going to continue with the Julia Donaldson theme and read ‘Room on a Broom’.
This week we have enjoyed getting very messy in the quicksand goop! The dinosaurs had some epic adventures in the gloopy mess. We have also enjoyed painting with with our hands and fingers (more mess), making magical potions in the water tray, performing puppet shows and planting daffodils.
Our focus activity this week was threading. We all made hanging decorations using pasta, cotton reels, beads and buttons for our ‘threading tree’. The cooks this week were Aaron, Aras, Aya, Huxley, Lea, Zachary, Zachariah and Zoe. They made enough yummy flapjacks for us all so thank you!
Next Thursday is the Weston Park 2017 Calendar Shoot. You will receive the timetable today or on Monday. Donna will be in class, providing an extra pair of hands, to help change the children and take them to and from Nursery to the school hall. If your child will be at Nursery at the time of their month’s photo please bring their costume in a labelled bag. If your child does not attend Nursery on a Thursday or at the time their month’s photo is being taken please bring them into the school hall ready in their costume. If you have any questions please just ask.
These are being held on Tuesday 1st November and Thursday 3rd November. There will be a sign up sheet on the Nursery door for you to book your 10 minute slot.
Don’t forget to look on your child’s Tapestry account to see if they will be a focus child next week. Please leave a reply letting us know your child’s current interests and fascinations.
Don’t forget to email your family photo for your child’s wall space to firstname.lastname@example.org
Have a lovely weekend
