Friday 25th November
It’s been another busy week in Nursery Class.
This week we have been exploring using our senses. On Monday lots of children spray painted rice krispies and listened for the snap, crackle and pop! On Wednesday we explored the texture of different materials including ice, rice and jelly with our feet! If you were wondering why your child’s feet were strangely sticky you now have your answer!
We have also been busy looking at the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’. We made some fantastic straw, stick and brick buildings outside and acted out the story. Lots of the children really got into character…what a lot of scary wolves we have! We also huffed and puffed making bubble pictures, made houses out of different materials and play dough cement and used straw brushes for painting.
We also painted with puffy fairy paint, explored what happened to our heart rate after exercise and continued to explore what happens when we mix colours.
We have started learning our song for the school’s Christmas performance, which is on Tuesday 13th December at 9.30am in the school hall. We will take a staring role near the beginning of the play to sing our song, we will then return to the Nursery as there will be important playing to be done!
We are in the process of sorting some Christmas fun in the form of Mr Marvel. We will keep you updated.
Thanks to the cooks this week (Aras, Aya, Rosie, Lochlainn, Edith and Nevaeh-Rose) for the delicious cheese biscuits.
Thank you. Have a great weekend.
