Kusama Class Newsletter Friday 10th February 2017
Dear Parents and Carers,

Next half term we begin swimming at Park Road Leisure Centre on the first day back (Monday 20th). Please provide swimming kit (costume and hat) and a towel in a separate bag from other school items.

On Tuesday 28th February we visit the British Library for a creative writing sessions as part of Book Week. We would like three parent helpers for the day so let us know if you can come.

Today we say goodbye to Nancy Ang who has been working with us since the beginning of year 4. We would like to thank her for all her hard work and wish her the very best for the future.

This week we enjoyed the book ‘The Mousehole Cat’ by Antonia Barber. The descriptive language of the setting and a stormy sea proved a stimulus for our writing.

This week we studied area and perimeter, measuring both regular and irregular shapes accurately.

Can you read for up to 150 minutes during the coming week? Complete the challenge sheet and ask your parents to sign it.

With parents’ permission, look at www.purplemash.com and use the log-in you were given to try the 2Code program.

Homophones (see separate sheet)

Best wishes from the year 4 staff – enjoy the half term break
