Monet Class Letter

Dear Parents/Carers,

This week:

Monet created a diary entry from Zoe’s perspective based on the book “Floodland”. Emotive and descriptive language techniques were of high standard!

Year 5 multiplied and divided whole numbers and those involving decimals by 10, 100 and 1000.

Class 5 began investigating WWII by dissecting its outbreak and the major players who were involved.

Next week

English – Students will be looking at instructional writing, with particular interests in the writing of rules.

Maths – Year 5 will be looking at Measurement (Time) and solving problems associated with it using all four operations.

History – Monet will be learning about how people on the home front contributed to the war effort.

Students are asked to complete the Anderson Shelter worksheet, as they are to imagine themselves living within a bomb shelter in London during raids in WWII.

Have a tremendous weekend,
