Safeguarding

Online Safety

To help you keep you child safe on the internet there is an excellent website called Thinkuknow run by CEOP (Child Exploitation Online Protection) http://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents.

There is a wealth of information, both articles and films that you can watch with your child as well as fun games, suitable for children from 4-18, including children with addition needs.

The CEOP website http://www.ceop.police.uk/safety-centre/ is the website where children and adults can get immediate advice and help.

The Prevent Duty

Prevent is about safeguarding people and communities from the threat of terrorism.

From the 1st July 2015 schools and childcare providers have been issued with new advice and social media guidance to help them keep children safe from the risk of radicalisation and extremism.  We all have a role to play in community building in Haringey and making the borough a place where people from all backgrounds get on and live safely together.

Revised Prevent Duty Guidance

Safeguarding from radicalisation and extremism is no different from safeguarding from other forms of harm.   Please see advice below on keeping children safe and guidance on how to respond to any concerns.

Prevent Duty (DfE Guidance 2015) can be accessed here:
